Supervisor​/Process Engineer

Accredited with all major vacuum and high temperature melters worldwide, supplies fully processed nickel and titanium revert material to the melting industry. We also purchase revert material from a wide range of industrial customers throughout the world. For our customers, the recovery of valuable revert from their alloy production and alloy component manufacturing processes for re-use, is vital for control and reduction of production costs.

The process of transforming revert into higher value, melt-ready material is a complex process with contamination minimization and material traceability at its core. To optimize revert recovery and recycling, many of the world’s largest producers of complex alloys and components for the aerospace industry have chosen to outsource this function to us, the world leader in super-alloy and titanium Revert Management.

JOB DEFINITION &

PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is primarily responsible for using discretionary judgment in the area of supervising the workforce daily – this includes Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Production and Continuous Improvement projects. This position will be accountable for driving the TOC’s to the hourly workforce including daily shift goals and expectations. In addition, variable cost budgets must be respected while working on continuous improvement (productivity pipeline) projects to sustain the quarter over quarter cost reduction / productivity improvements.

MAIN

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise all employees.

• Maintain employee’s time and absences.

• Drive the TOC’s so all goals and costs targets are achieved.

• Participate in all Safety activities and observe and record employees.

• Discipline floor workers within the rules of the Union Local 40 contract.

• Fill in daily tracking logs.

• Prep and track workers schedules.

• Includes shift and weekend work, along with a rotating schedule.

• Implement and maintain 5S.

• Lead, support, and participate in all Productivity Pipeline activities.

• Develop and implement new techniques and process to streamline work activities.

• Reduce cost through C.I. methods.

• Support and control Engineering and Process Change Requests.

• Liaising with vendors and ensuring design meets specifications.

• Catalogue all lessons learned for future projects and designs.

Required Skills and Experiences Include:

• Degree in Engineering or business related field

• Two to five years direct experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing facility.

• Experience with in a multi-site, US publicly traded company environment

• Good working knowledge of all MS Office applications and internet applications

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and statistical skills.

• High level of self-motivation to perform and succeed

• Ability to work under minimal supervision and use own initiative

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to function individually and within a team dynamic.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively

• Ability to work under pressure and deadlines

• Able to work out/with normal office hours as business requires
