Job Opportunity – Outpatient Surgery Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Huntington, West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Monday through Friday only, no weekends or holidays. Mixed schedule of one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts per week with rotating shift times. Department operates 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. 12-hour shifts range from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM start times; 8-hour shifts range from 5:00 AM to 4:30 PM start times.

Highlights:

• 29-bed outpatient surgery department serving surgical, endoscopy, and pain management patients
• Diverse case mix including neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, general surgery, and vascular procedures
• Provide both pre-operative and post-operative patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory environment
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Consistent Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday coverage
• 24 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient surgery or perioperative nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Cerner EMR proficiency required
• Experience with abdominal aortic aneurysm repair preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
