Associate Professor / Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Cardiovascular Services

Primary Responsibilities
- Serves as Principal Investigator or Co
- Investigator on research projects related to cardiovascular disease, aging, obesity, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. - Develop and maintain a robust, independently funded research program in mechanistic translational, or population-based cardiovascular science.
- Lead and contribute NIH R01 and other major grant applications.
- Disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed journals and scientific meetings.
- Foster collaboration with clinical and basic science faculty across disciplines.
- Mentor medical residents, graduate residents, and postdoctoral fellows.
- Pursue and maintain external funding from NIH, AHA, CDC, and other agencies.
- Engage in limited teaching responsibilities as appropriate.
