Joining H&R Block as a Tax Associate means you will have the support of an expert team and the freedom, flexibility, and extra earnings you need.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and via virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Grow your tax expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.
• Ability to work a minimum of 25‑35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
• Effective communication skills— in‑person, phone, and writing.
• Must meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or higher.

• Pay Range: $11.00–$27.00 per hour.
• Eligibility for incentive compensation or short‑term incentive plans.
