The Stingray Bay Admissions Cashier Staff Member is a seasonal position located at Stingray Bay. The Admissions Staff is responsible for processing admissions to Stingray Bay for all patrons entering the pool and also answer questions and provide exceptional Customer Service to our visitors. Admissions Staff report to the Recreation Manager – Aquatics and Fitness.

Requirements
  • Use point of sale equipment and software to ring up admissions.
  • Properly process payment type ie; check, cash, credit card.
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions for balancing end of shift drawer.
  • Keep the admissions area neat and clean.
  • Remind patrons to shower before entering pool.
  • Check to see that all infants have proper swim diapers.
  • Close out registers at end of shift/day and complete closing duties.
  • Work cordially with all guests and staff of the Huntley Park District.
  • Follow Huntley Park District cash handling procedures at all times.
  • Attend in-service training as scheduled.
  • Check guest's bags and coolers.
  • Answer phones and questions.
  • Remind patrons of the pool rules.
  • Current CPR and first aid certification or able to attain certification prior to opening day of Stingray Bay.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work with public in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be friendly and courteous.
  • Must be able to properly handle cash.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
Environmental Considerations
  • Worker may be exposed to indoor & outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and humidity, and heat from equipment.
Mental/Physical Requirements
  • While performing this job, the employee must be able to work while walking & standing for extended periods of time. The employee is required to speak, listen, and use hands. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop or kneel, lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements include, distance, color vision, peripheral and depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Safety and Facility Requirements
  • Assure a safe and hazard free environment by inspecting and taking the necessary action to correct and safeguard against potential problems and/or accidents.
  • Must comply with all safety policies and procedures now in effect or adopted in the future.
  • Employee must be able to follow directions with safe follow through and exercises good judgment and safety awareness.
  • Employee must use all required PPE.
  • All unsafe conditions are to be reported to your supervisor immediately.
