Capture Manager

Overview

ITC Defense is hiring for a Capture Manager to support the development and execution of viable business opportunities, strategies, and compliant bids for the company.

Responsibilities
  • Perform the following functions in a matrixed organization: capture and strategic planning, market research, key event and milestone coordination, and leading pre‑marketing activities that increase shareholder’s value and increase ITC’s win percentage.
  • Develop and assist with Gate Review presentations and written plans that convey Profit and Loss Models, risk, ROI, and work‑load plans that provide ITC with the basis of information to make sound decisions to invest limited resources to the capture of new business opportunities.
  • Author or assist in the authoring of Management, Past Performance, Technical, and Cost volumes of proposals, while helping assure that ITC submittals are compliant to US Government and commercial statements of work and solicitations.
  • Under the direct supervision of the President, this position will work in concert with Contracts, Finance, Security, Human Resources, and the Business Development team to develop teaming and price‑to‑win strategies and recruit appropriate personnel to effectively bid the opportunity.
  • Utilizes capture software to develop a New Business Opportunity and assist ITC in maintaining current, valid pursuit information with applicable tools.
  • Equip company management with the background and information required to make informed decisions on opportunities.
  • Perform gap analyses, color reviews such as Black, Blue, Green, Pink, Red, and Gold reviews to ensure technical documents are compliant to solicitations and bids.
  • In concert with Finance and Pricing Teams, develop BOEs and pricing strategies to capture work and increase company profitability.
  • Continuously advise President on current market developments that impact teaming and pricing strategies.
  • In concert with Executive management, recommend and negotiate work share and teaming arrangements ensuring compliance with the FAR and other regulatory requirements.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities but has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
  • The Capture Manager may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.
  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc. Must always represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Must be trustworthy – will handle confidential information routinely.
  • Must possess effective communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
  • Ability to follow a process.
  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow‑up.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
  • Strong decision analysis and problem‑solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
  • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • High degree of self‑motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi‑task.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least five (5) years of task‑related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or associated discipline.
  • Proven experience in Capture Management to include processes and protocols from approval to bid – proposal – capture/award – transition.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship
