Regulatory Compliance Specialist
SUMMARY
The Senior Contract Administrator will oversee the administration, negotiation, and management of contracts in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in supporting the aerospace and defense sectors, ensuring compliance with government regulations and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIESThe following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
- Lead the full contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation through execution and compliance monitoring, ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Conduct complex negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions while minimizing risks, including commercial terms and conditions and Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs).
- Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, including FAR/DFAR regulations and OTAs relevant to the aerospace and defense industry.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of contract changes, amendments, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for audits and reviews.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, engineering, and project management teams, to facilitate contract execution and compliance. Manage subcontract negotiations and administration when Redwire is the prime contractor and procurement cannot be completed via supply chain purchase orders.
- Identify potential risks associated with contracts and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Provide guidance and training to junior contracts staff, promoting best practices in contract management and negotiation.
- Prepare and present regular reports on contract status, risks, and compliance issues to senior management.
- Occasional travel to other Redwire Defense Tech sites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCM, CCM) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in contracts administration within the aerospace and defense industry, with a proven track record of managing complex contracts.
- Strong understanding of government contracting regulations (FAR/DFAR), OTAs, commercial terms and conditions, contract law, and risk management principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, CCCM).
- Experience with international contracts and export compliance preferred.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
