• Oversee and supervise asphalt paving crews on projects such as commercial parking lots, city streets, county and state roadways, and interstate highways.
• Enforce safety policies while delivering satisfactory and quality work daily.
• Perform asphalt paving, stone setup, and milling operations in accordance with ALDOT, County, City and Commercial Specifications.
• Read plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.).
• Manage all aspects of the operation including ordering materials, logistics, maintenance, and outside services.
• Coordinate between foremen, plants, crews, subs, and vendors before starting a shift or project.
• Ensure daily maintenance and housekeeping are performed; complete and submit pre-trip inspections daily.
• Work nights and weekends as required by customer demands.
• Submit daily electronic timecards and shift production reports with accurate quantities and cost coding.

• 2+ years of experience as a paving foreman with references.
• Knowledge of local customers, materials, and specifications is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven self-starter who can work under limited supervision.
• Ability to work well with team members or inspectors while managing stressful situations in changing environments.
• Proficient with GPS grade and slope control.
• Asphalt paving experience required.
• Computer skills required.
• Driver’s license and safe driving record.
