Construction Manager – Splicing

Velox is seeking an experienced Splicing Manager to oversee fiber optic splicing operations across OSP projects nationwide. The role leads in‑house and subcontracted splicing crews, ensures quality and safety standards, and acts as the key point of contact between internal teams and clients.

• Lead and supervise splicing technicians and subcontractors; assign work and monitor progress to meet safety, schedule, and specification requirements.
• Partner with project managers and construction teams to coordinate schedules, resources, and materials.
• Review splicing documentation, test results, and as‑built drawings; enforce quality and safety standards.
• Communicate project status to clients and address issues as they arise in the field.

• 7+ years of experience in OSP fiber optic splicing
• 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of fusion and mechanical splicing and fiber testing (OTDRs, power meters, light sources)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work flexible hours as needed
• Industry certifications such as FOA, CFOS, or BICSI are a plus
