EMS Public Safety Dispatcher - Huntsville EMS - FT - Shift Varies

This position performs dispatch and/or call taking of emergency and non‑emergency medical assistance.

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Typing: Minimum 35 words per minute
• Pre‑employment Testing: Criti Call (Computerized Critical Skills) testing with a minimum of 80% score
• Certification: Successfully completed EMD certification in call taking and/or dispatching of medical emergency calls

• Auditory: ability to hear, comprehend, and distinguish sounds and verbal communication in presence of other distracting sounds via headset, telephone, or other external source.
• Listening: ability to retain detailed information
• Vision: adequate vision to quickly and accurately read maps, safety manuals, computer system monitors; includes color vision, near, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
• Language: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operational procedures.

• Typing: minimum 35 words per minute
• Pre‑employment Testing:
  Criti Call with minimum 80% score
