Established and growing practice serving a 1.25 million draw area in northern Alabama and southern Tennessee, with excellent pediatric subspecialty support. The case mix mostly consists of tumor removal, neonatology cases, and bread and butter pediatric surgery.
In-office procedures include small incisions/drainages, extra digit removals, and foreign body removals. The OR is very efficient with highly skilled and knowledgeable Staff, CRNAs and Pediatric Anesthesiologists. Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children has a dedicated 16-bed pediatric ER and 16 ORs, with 2 trauma bays, a level III 75 bed NICU, 11 bed pediatric ICU, 40 pediatric inpatient beds and St.
Jude Children’s Research Hospital affiliate clinic for Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, one of only 8 in the United States. The opportunity offers the possibility to pursue some academics via research and/or clinical trials with UAB.
- Provide pediatric surgical care in an employed setting for a 1.25 million draw area in northern Alabama and southern Tennessee.
- Manage case mix that includes tumor removal, neonatology-related cases, and typical pediatric surgical procedures.
- Perform in-office procedures such as small incisions/drainages, extra digit removals, and foreign body removals.
- Collaborate with an equipped OR team including Staff, CRNAs and Pediatric Anesthesiologists to deliver patient care.
