Overview

University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is seeking an accomplished academic-clinical leader to serve as Dean of the College of Nursing, a pivotal role in the College’s 50-year history. This Dean will author the next chapter of the high‑performing nursing enterprise, building on its national standing and clinical distinction.

• Lead academic quality, faculty advancement, research expansion, enrollment strategy, and the continued advancement of health‑system partnerships at the College of Nursing and across academic and clinical programs.
• Exercise broad leadership across academic and clinical programs, charting vision and strategy for the College.
• Manage program finances and resources within a complex academic–clinical environment.
• Engage with stakeholders, partners, and the broader community to enhance the College’s reputation and impact.

• Ph.D. with credentials for appointment as a tenured full professor.
• Demonstrated operating leadership of academic programs or clinical education units within a college of nursing.
• Experience stewarding program finances and resources in a complex academic–clinical environment.
• Minimum of three years of administrative leadership with direct reports.
