Job Description SummaryResponsible for establishing and implementing the most cost-efficient methods for production along with leading and implementing key manufacturing projects that drive value by focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost metrics. These initiatives and projects require the use of Lean manufacturing principles to implement and sustain key processes and procedures to enable facility success.
Job Description- This position focuses on development of manufacturing lines to improve standard work, Lean manufacturing, quality control.
- Develop industrial controls for utilization in the manufacturing process to adhere to established control strategies across the company.
- Develop analytical tools to analyze production system health and quality trends.
- Develop and implement manufacturing systems with cross functional teams to ensure manufacturing quality, compliance, and safety.
- Implementation of IOT.
- Integration of Work Instruction with Process controls.
- No direct responsibility for any given area of the facility but responsible for successfully implementing projects on time and on budget while maximizing project value.
- Develop standards and specific control type and configuration for new equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Develop and maintain required documentation to support controls applications used in the manufacturing process, including operation and maintenance.
- Oversee installation of control systems on new and/or existing equipment.
- Make programming changes that are required to maintain and improve the manufacturing process.
- Analyze and recommend improvement to manufacturing processes, which will benefit from automation techniques.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred but will also consider Mechatronics Engineering ,Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 5 years controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Able to communicate with various positions through verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Project Management skills.
- Understanding of systems, processes, and operations.
- Programming and integration of PLCs (Allen Bradley).
- Development of API’s.
- Troubleshooting and commissioning fieldbus networks (Ethernet/IP and Device Net).
- Proficient with SQL.
- Creating and modifying schematics with Solid Works.
- Industrial equipment design and troubleshooting.
- Design and construction of custom electrical panels.
- Requires a broad understanding of manufacturing including:
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Standard processes and procedures.
- Tool and fixture design.
- Assembly equipment design and maintenance.
- Manufacturing methods and processes.
