Position Summary
Ardurra is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our staff in Huntsville, AL.
Ardurra’s innovative water and wastewater engineers collaborate closely with clients to plan, design, permit, and construct systems that address their needs comprehensively.
As a recognized leader in the Southeast water industry, Ardurra’s projects encompass treatment and infrastructure initiatives for municipal and institutional clients. From drinking water supply to water reuse and wastewater management, we support projects of all sizes within a flexible and innovative team environment.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks and other water/wastewater storage and conveyance systems.
- Perform or manage engineering/process design, hydraulics, pumping systems, and treatment process projects.
- Coordinate with multiple departments and sub‑consultants required for multi‑discipline projects.
- Research and utilize available resources.
- Self‑motivate and lead or assist project teams in completing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Gather data for engineering analyses through phone contacts, written correspondence, and research sources.
- Perform calculations and research in support of designs using engineering formulas and skills in formulating possible results based on different scenarios.
- Prepare engineering reports, opinions and recommendations.
- Maintain completed project files and proper document control.
- Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, material quantity take‑offs and develop construction cost estimates for projects.
- Provide other duties as may be assigned by the Project Managers or Task Leads to support the project team.
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field (required).
- At least five years of experience.
- Advanced understanding of water treatment/distribution and wastewater collection/treatment principles and state regulations (preferred).
