Qualification Test Engineer

Minimum of 10 years relevant test and evaluation experience (including 5 years in weapon system qualification testing) with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years of experience with an Associate’s degree. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university.

U.S. Citizen. Active security clearance. Ability to obtain unescorted access to Redstone Arsenal; special permits, certifications and government authorizations required by ASRI's contracts. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and to climb onto and around large air and ground vehicles.

Experience evaluating systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464). Available to travel up to 40%. Redstone Test Center or other lab experience.

Microsoft Office Suite; DOORS; CAMS.

Design and execute Qualification test plans to validate the functionality and quality of complex Army weapon systems (missile). Lead and support component, subsystem, and system-level qualification testing. Conduct Environmental, EMI/EMC, Safety, Human Factors test types. Provide on-site TDY testing support, complete training to operate weapon system equipment at the test facility, and perform Unit Under Test functional checks. Ensure execution of test schedule by collaborating with test facility staff and daily status reporting to US Government Program Office leadership.

Evaluate systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464). Identify potential weapon system issues and defects by performing tests on the system’s features. Report findings to ensure the final product meets specifications, working closely with development teams across the product lifecycle. Physically climb on top of military vehicles and weapon systems as required. Work directly with the Army Program Office and other Army organizations to build requirements, test, and qualify weapon systems;

other tasks related to fielding to operational units.
