BDS Sapphire is the common core system for engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance subsystems that supports the BDS mission delivering a highly capable solution comprised of three core bedrocks:
Production Data Management (PDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
This role will report to the Sapphire Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) leader and focus on managing project activities, ensuring alignment with program objectives, and facilitating cross‑functional collaboration to achieve project milestones within the SEIT organization. The role also supports the program chief engineer in technical review board management and execution.
Position Responsibilities- Lead and manage project activities for the Sapphire SEIT organization and program chief engineer, providing support to the technical team.
- Provide Program Increment Planning support and manage SEIT agile planning efforts.
- Develop, maintain, and help execute project plans that align to the program schedule to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor program progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues and aid in the program RIO process.
- Facilitate regular status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and senior leadership on performance and readiness, and prepare briefings on related topics.
- Ensure compliance with Boeing’s program management methodologies and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project performance metrics and implementing lessons learned.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the program lifecycle.
- Support the integration of project management tools (Jira, ADO) and methodologies to enhance project execution and reporting.
This position may require up to 20% travel.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Required to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Program Management, business administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in project management within complex enterprise or aerospace programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; proven ability to present project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on risk management and process improvement.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Prior experience on aerospace, defense, or large‑scale integrated system programs.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, ADO).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
