Position Responsibilities- Work with industry partners in the development and execution of a comprehensive assessment program supporting the C2
BMC Element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System. - Evaluate systems under various scenarios and architectures to determine and/or optimize overall system mission performance.
- Perform analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Develop and maintain analysis tools of varied fidelity, including modeling and simulation tools to predict performance against evolving threats.
- Manage requirements, risk, issues, opportunity, and technology readiness assessment processes.
- Define, schedule, assign, and execute tasks; monitor completion and approve results to ensure integration activities progress.
- Support subject matter experts for integration and test domains, system engineering, performance, and processes.
- Solve complex missile defense problems.
- Utilize MBSE tools such as CAMEO or DOORS, System Architect, and mathematical modeling and simulation for trade studies.
- Develop, select, tailor, and deploy integration and test processes, tools, and metrics.
- Execute and document integration and test activities and events.
- Improve tools to enhance team productivity.
- Perform system analysis trade studies to define technical concepts and solutions.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 2+ years of engineering experience (or equivalent with a Master’s degree).
- 1+ year of experience in system engineering (systems, design, architecture, integration, requirements, or test).
- Understanding of System Engineering and iterative product development using Agile practices.
- Strong analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- 5+ years of engineering experience (or 3+ years with a Master’s, or PhD).
- Understanding of DoD missile‑defense command & control, battle management architectures, and communications concepts.
- Experience with requirements verification and analysis, including traceability and verification artifacts.
- Experience performing systems and performance analysis or trade studies.
- Experience modeling or simulating missile‑defense or related engagement domains.
- Experience with scripting/programming (MATLAB, Python, Java, etc.) for analytical tools or automated testing.
May be required up to 10% of the time, domestically and/or internationally.
Security ClearanceRequires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Clearance must have been active in the past 24 months.
