Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Operator / Payload Operator responsible for conducting developmental testing and providing UAS flight support for Counter-UAS testing in direct support of the test and evaluation mission of the U.S. Army Redstone Test Center.

• Serve as an unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operator.
• Conduct developmental testing of unmanned aircraft.
• Provide UAS flight support for Counter-UAS testing.
• Support mission objectives of the U.S. Army Redstone Test Center.

• U.S. Citizen. Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• Ability to apply practical knowledge to flight testing applicable to the developmental and system qualification testing of DoD unmanned aircraft.
• UAS autopilot knowledge and experience (e.g., Ardupilot/Pixhawk/PX4).
• Ability to operate DoD Group 1 and 2 Multirotor and Fixed Wing UAS in multiple flight modes from a Ground Control Station (GCS).
• Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience (e.g., Solid Works) and 3D Printing experience.
• Must meet current FAA standards for UAV operators and minimum flight time and qualification requirements as defined in AR 95-20; able to maintain currency or DoD specialized aircraft system qualification.
• Possess current FAA Class II Medical Certificate or DoD equivalent.

• Licensed;
  Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician certification as well as having an FAA Part 107 certificate are preferred but not required.

• Assist as an unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operator and support testing and operations as required.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience designing, building and operating Group 1-2 UAS.
