Description/Job Summary
Lindahl Reed is seeking energy professionals to provide Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) services for the Corps of Engineers Huntsville Center (CEHNC). REM candidates will provide project management, engineering, technical knowledge, and analysis of energy management applications, databases, and systems, as well as high‑level functional support for evaluation and implementation advice on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy resilience projects.

Position Responsibilities
  • Manage the development and implementation of Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC), Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC), and Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects.
  • Understand measurement and verification and familiarity with IPMVP.
  • Technical proposal review.
  • Manage a project schedule.
  • Input data into SQL database, Energy Dashboard, eProject Builder.
  • Analyze energy, water, and other utility data.
  • Conduct design reviews.
  • Support the development of energy resilience projects, including the integration of onsite renewable energy, energy storage, and microgrids.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Candidates must possess one of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • A four‑year engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) and/or a registered Professional Engineer registration with a minimum of 3 years of experience in energy management.
    • An Environmental Science, business or related degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management.
    • A two‑year technical degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in energy management.
    • A non‑degreed REM with a minimum of 10 years of experience in energy management.
  • Current Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or ability to obtain CEM certification within 12 months.
  • Strong knowledge of the financed project process.
  • Project management experience; project management certification preferred.
  • Experience with energy auditing, project development, life‑cycle cost analysis, and building/facility operations.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense energy management requirements.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative personality enjoys and able to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of standard office computer software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to pass a government‑administered background investigation in order to be granted a Common Access Card and access to government IT systems.
