Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – Level 4

Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – Level 4 to support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program in Huntsville, AL.

Support the GWS program as an individual contributor and potentially as a task lead. Responsible for producing verification and test products for the A&D Verification & Test team.

• Develop verification and test products including verification test plans, rationales, reports, and other requirement products (new, derived, system level).
• Perform traceability analysis.
• Document analysis results in reports and briefings for stakeholder review.
• Create and present briefings to the team, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience, or Master’s Degree with 6 years, or 4 years with a PhD.
• Strong technical background in systems engineering and verification.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and capture concepts in papers, presentations, and discussions.
• Good communication skills; able to work independently and in teams.
• Experience with DOORS.
• Willingness to assume a technical leadership role.
• Availability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Current active U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance.

• Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems.
• Experience using JIRA.
• Experience on GWS or GMD.
