Electrical Engineer III, Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Design
Location: Huntsville, AL (Lockheed Martin Space facility).
Schedule: Flexible 9x80, full-time office.
Join us as an Electrical Engineer to design test equipment for circuit boards. You will develop automated test equipment (ATE), electronic hardware, signal conditioning and interface with COTS instrumentation for system production, validation and field tests.
Key Activities- Design ATE, electronic hardware, signal conditioning equipment.
- Interface with COTS instrumentation for system production tests, validation, and field tests.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop Special Test Equipment for various electronic equipment and systems (Avionics, Control Systems Telemetry, Electro‑Optical, Radiation Detection, etc.).
- Conduct research, test equipment/system development across analog and digital data acquisition, FPGA, real‑time systems, computers, and control/test equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Prior circuit design experience and 3+ years professional experience.
- Experience with automated test equipment design, signal conditioning, and COTS integration.
- Experience reading schematic diagrams, wire harness design, electronics assembly, troubleshooting, test planning, and procedure traceability.
- Experience with CREO, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Understanding of engineering circuit fundamentals (analog & digital).
- Product configuration control processes.
- Cross‑functional team interaction and coordination.
- Ability to work autonomously and drive items to closure.
- Ability to travel occasionally.

Pay RateAnnual base salary range varies by location; $85,500 – $150,765 for many states, up to $170,315 in major metros.
