Accura Engineering is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Aviation program in Nashville, TN. The primary duties will include planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of multi-discipline airport projects with high degrees of technical complexity and managing project staff.
Duties / Responsibilities- Leads the successful development and implementation of multiple, concurrent airside and landslide Capital Projects at international airports as part of the construction and program management team.
- Work with consultants, airport staff, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met for each assigned project.
- Manage staffing and workload through project development to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Review plans, develop cost estimates and projections for assigned projects, schedule and conduct design progress meetings, prepare records required for Federal or state reimbursement.
- Ensure construction contracts comply with applicable federal and state equal opportunity legislation.
- Coordinate activities with outside agencies to assure timely completion of all projects; compile and analyze technical data, prepare reports concerning project related activities.
- Oversee Quality Assurance Review, implement QA/QC procedures, and train personnel.
- Monitor safety compliance and contractor safety oversight.
- Oversee project closeout administration.
- Supervise project staff and mentor less experienced staff members.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- PE license is required.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- 10-15 years of aviation-related engineering or construction management experience, including airport master planning and project management.
- Minimum 5 years aviation design project management experience.
- Experience designing and managing aviation projects, developing plans, specifications, and estimates for airport agencies and private clients.
- Experience with FAA design standards, procedures, and policies.
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station HC1, MS Office, and MS Project experience preferred.
- Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills desired.
- Excellent communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills.
- Knowledge of the aviation market in Nashville, including client relationships, preferred.
