Spec Pro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Geologist Specialist to provide technical and program support to address the requirements of the Army Environmental Restoration Program. Support will include aspects of the Army Environmental Restoration Program such as the Installation Restoration Program, Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), and compliance related remediation programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as single point of contact for technical coordination of project requirements at Installation
- Provide environmental program technical support to help Army Environmental meet their compliance cleanup, MMRP, and underground storage tanks/above storage tanks programs goals
- Ensure that activities are compliant with CERCLA and RCRA and state/local or other federal regulations
- Assist Government with coordinating efforts with representatives of federal, state, and local agencies
- Provide technical assistance of permit renewals, installation action plans, investigation derived waste management and field activities
- Assist the Installation in monitoring technical progress and financial status of each restoration program; provide input into the DSMOA program, and annual DERP report
- Support and facilitate environmental meetings
- Provide support to community group meetings such as Restoration Advisory Board and public involvement support
- Maintain and upload official record copies to the Army Permanent Document Repository and Administrative Record
- Participate in the Installation Action Plan Review, Land Use Control Review, and support the cost-to-complete package and support the Five Year review process
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of environmental restoration and remediation
- Working knowledge of firm fixed price contracts
- Demonstrated understanding of performance based contracts
- BS degree in Engineering, Science or Related Field
- One to five years of experience performing environmental restoration technical support preferred
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regulations and guidance
