Overview
In conjunction with the Huntsville Hospital Controller/Assistant Controller, provides supervisory and review of accounting for assigned System hospitals and other affiliates, performs certain detailed work and journal entries and those same affiliates, and applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports
QualificationsEducation required: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Education preferred: CPA
Experience: Minimum (5) five years financial accounting experience is required. Minimum (2) two years supervisory experience is required. Healthcare and not-for-profit experience is preferred.
Additional skills/abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a fast paced environment requiring the ability to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of work flow. Must possess strong financial analysis skills. Knowledge of investments, cash management and staff supervision required. Must be proficient in the use of various computer programs.
Must be able to reason and solve problems independently.
