Description:
The Sr. Acquisition Analyst (SAA) serves as a Senior Program Analyst for the Precision Guided Munitions and Rockets ( PGMR) Product Office within the Strategic and Operational Rockets and Missiles ( STORM) Project Office. The SAA provides direct support to the Product and Deputy Product Manager providing expert-level oversight for all business operations related to the portfolio of products, which include the GMLRS (ACAT
1), ATACMS (ACAT 11), and RRPR (ACAT 111) products.
Provide acquisition business oversight for the new start effort to include the Joint Reduced Range Rocket (JR3) development and the start-up of a new MDAP program for ER GMLRS to include oversight on the development of all required milestone documentation
Provide day-to-day operational support to the PdM/DPdM related to these products and the coordination of technical and programmatic requirement activities between functional areas within the STORM PMO, outside government agencies, military organizations and prime contractors
Project Office as well as those in outside government agencies, military organizations, and prime contractors.Develop coordinated work products for the PdM/DPdM to include information and decision briefings, budget and program analyses, POM/SPAR briefings, P&R Forms, SAR, MAR, and information papers
Plan the execution of and coordinates responses to internal and external taskers
Support tactical and strategic planning activities, provide assessments and recommendations for technical and programmatic issues, conduct risk assessment analysis of systems, and provide approaches to mitigate risk
Skills Required:
Bachelors’ Degree and 25 years of experience;
Masters’ Degree and 23 years of experience; or HS diploma and 29 years of experienceAn active DoD secret clearance or higher
7 years of acquisition expertise in a government product or project office as a contractor or government civilian
5 years of experience developing acquisition plans and coordinating related milestone documentation on weapon systems or platforms
8 or more years of experience coordinating with functional areas in a government office or industry office, supporting the development or production of weapon systems or components, and supporting tactical and strategic planning functions within a government or industry organization
4 or more years of experience in supporting tactical and strategic planning functions within a government or industry organization, supporting risk assessments of systems, and proposing mitigation solutions
