Base pay is based on skills and experience. The role is also eligible for team‑based bonus opportunities. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the 401(k) program.

- Brookdale offers to advance fees for naturalization (Form N‑400) application costs, up to $725, for qualified associates who have been with us for at least a year.
- Utilize a person‑centered approach that promotes positive perceptions of aging and builds relationships among residents.
- Develop a monthly calendar in partnership with residents based on shared interests.
- Collaborate with the community leadership team to plan and execute special events such as holidays, family gatherings, educational activities, and marketing events.
- Plan and schedule meaningful engagement opportunities outside the community, which may include driving a community vehicle.
- Minimum of one year of direct experience working with adults.
- Leadership experience or a related degree (therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or related field) is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; a commercial driver’s license may be required based on community needs.
- Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within the department.
- Standing, walking, sitting.
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Talk or hear.
- Can lift up to 50 pounds.
- Vision is required.
- Regular interaction with co‑workers, residents, or vendors.
- Occasional weekend, evening, or night work to ensure shift coverage.
- On‑call as needed.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases, latex, blood‑borne pathogens, chemicals, drugs, and other hazards.
- Driving required to transport residents (Tier 1).
