The Senior HR Generalist serves as a hands-on HR partner carrying out the organization's human resources strategy and supporting a broad range of daily, monthly, and annual human resources functions including employee relations, legal and contractual HR compliance, talent management, performance management, policy administration, and payroll. This role requires strong HR expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications- High School graduate (or equivalent) required, some college or a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- 3+ years of previous HR generalist experience in a similar role(s) required, 5+ years of previous experience in a manufacturing or skilled workshop Government Contracting environment preferred
- 3+ years of payroll experience required, ADP payroll experience strongly preferred
- Human resources and/or recruiting certificate strongly preferred
- Performs diversified HR clerical, administrative, and payroll activities for the company under the direction of the General Manager
- Makes files on all new personnel; processes and records information, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, PTO tracking, tax data; attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason
- Researches and coordinates employee benefits; schedules, coordinates, oversees, and follows up on annual open enrollment actions
- Researches and provides management with advanced personnel reports
- Counsels and informs employees on HR policies and programs
- Communicates personnel actions to appropriate employees and follows through with documentation required
- Processes employment applications and handles all other employment activities, including in-processing and out-processing tasks
- Enrolls new employees in benefits and programs
- Works within Tintronics' HR personnel data system; prepares HR reports to Tintronics management for HR-related actions, including, but not limited to, staffing, counseling, pay, promotions, evaluations, benefits, and terminations
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, providing recommendations and documentation
- Support performance management processes, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and corrective action plans
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention strategies
- Maintain and update employee handbook, policies, and procedures
- Support audits, investigations, and regulatory reporting as needed
- Support training initiatives and employee development programs
- Reviews and approves accuracy of invoices for all payroll and benefit functions (healthcare, FSA, and other insurance, payroll, retirement plans)
- Verifies timecard entries, confirms payroll inputs, and processes bi-weekly payroll using ADP
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Effective communication skills; demonstrates presence, experience, and bearing to effectively represent the company to a variety of audiences
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and resourceful to schedule tasks as needed without direct supervision and to solve problems without assistance

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a standard office setting with occasional visits to a controlled factory setting, which includes occasional use of personal protective equipment. When in the production area, the employee will be required to use clothing and devices to prevent damage to production materials from electrostatic static discharge (ESD).
