Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

DESE Research, Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day information system security operations, including auditing hardware and software implementations and conducting risk assessments. They will maintain, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events, and ensure configuration management for security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware. They will implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls utilizing DISA STIGs.

• Oversee day-to-day information system security operations including auditing hardware, software implementations, and risk assessments.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
• Maintain and document configuration management for security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware.
• Implement RMF security controls using DISA STIGs.

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• 5-10 years of experience in cyber security engineering/analysis, supply chain risk management, logistics, product management, program protection planning, or system security engineering
• Experience with IS auditing and investigations
• Knowledge of operating system security requirements
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard Information Assurance tools
• Security+ Certification
• CompTIA CySA+ certification

Bachelor s Degree in Cyber Security, an Engineering Discipline, Logistics, or Supply Chain

• Knowledge of Information Systems Security and ISSO duties
• Working knowledge of system administration and network administration
• Working knowledge of classified defense contracts
• DoD 8570 IAM Level II Certification
