Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.

The Work What you'll get to do:

-Provide automation configuration with tools like Ansible to automate build and configuration processes
-Develop Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) process and tools, deployment strategies
-Build and deploy containers and containerization technologies - Enable and lead Agile management and collaboration, leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git Lab - Learn new technologies and tools to enable rapid and secure, scalable capability - Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python Who We Are

Basic Qualifications:

• Active US. DoD Security clearance at the Secret level

• Bachelors degree in a STEM related field, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

• Must have at least 6 months of recent experience working in the GWS GNI product

• Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
• Experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud
• Experience with Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services
• Ability to write or review software code (Java, Python, etc.)
• Exposure to Dev Sec Ops  practices
• Must be able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time
Desired

Skills:

• Deploying and maintaining applications on Kubernetes clusters
• Experience with PaaS (Platform as a Service) infrastructure
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Nexus repositories

• Experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, Git Hub, Git Lab, Bitbucket, others.
• Experience with branching strategies, gated commits and source-controlled management
• Programming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Shell, Scripts).
• Programming and scripting experience in a Windows environment (Power Shell, etc.)
• Experience with IaaS (Infrastructure as Code) scripts in Terraform and Helm to provision cloud resources

• Communicates effectively, both internally and externally to team
• Eager to expand knowledge and continually improve
