Mid Level Database Administrator – Active TOP SECRET Clearance (Fully On‑Site)

Visual Soft Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for a federal agency project requiring an active TOP SECRET clearance. The role is fully on‑site in Huntsville, AL.

Title: Database Administrator – Mid Level – Active TS Required
Location: Huntsville, AL

• Evaluate and recommend database management system products to meet validated user requirements.
• Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for user applications.
• Maintain Oracle systems on Linux and administer MS SQL databases on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Responsible for backup and recovery operations for servers.
• Perform quality control of ingest and transform processes and products.
• Handle rudimentary Linux system administration functions.
• Develop entity‑relational diagrams and document Oracle configuration.
• Over 5‑6 years of IT experience; 4+ years in Oracle DBA; 3+ years in Linux administration.
• Multiple IT certifications.
• Knowledge of Government‑wide system design, ICT equipment and services.
• BS degree required; experience may be substituted at the discretion of the government.

• Active TOP SECRET clearance; undergoing background investigation and drug test.
• U.S. Citizen.
