Developer SME (Huntsville, AL)

People Tec is currently seeking a Developer SME to support our Huntsville, AL location.

• Develop ETL mappings to extract data from a source data system (databases, files, etc.), transform the data based on business requirements, and load the data into a target data system (databases, files, etc.).
• Conduct performance tuning of the mappings to ensure that the data is extracted, transformed, and loaded in a reasonable amount of time based on the requirements.
• Develop Business Intelligence (BI) reports using BI software and perform unit testing of the reports.
• Work on multiple phases of the Development Life Cycle (requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment) of BI dashboards and reports.
• Develop required documentation in support of the development life cycle.

Required Skills/

Experience:

• 10 years of IT experience
• 5+ years experience with Perl, Linux Red Hat.
• Experience with Oracle Label Security and PL/SQL is highly desired.
• Proficiency with Power BI, data analysis, data query, data aggregation, data visualization, software development, system architecture, data transformation, data management, and big data technology.
• Capable of utilizing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
• Experienced in writing complex statements, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views implementing business intelligence and data warehousing solutions.
• Solid foundation in, and application of, data warehousing and reporting platform concepts with ability to recommend solutions and drive best practices.
• Familiarity with multiple business intelligence environments is preferred.
• Travel: 10 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required upon hire and maintenance during employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in related field or, in lieu of degree, 4 additional years of experience.
