Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Classified Cyber Security Intern.

In this role, the selected individual will collaborate with a team of cybersecurity professionals and work closely with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) s and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to monitor comprehensive cybersecurity solutions. This will involve learning about specialized applications and tools that support the governance and risk management of classified systems, infrastructure, and tools, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified assets.

The selected candidate will also learn about advanced risk. The Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Classified Cyber Security (CCS) organization is seeking a CCS Intern to deliver automated, sustainable, and consistent cyber products and services for the RMS Business Area, that enable the delivery of 21st-century security services to our classified programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the ISSO team plan, implement, test, and monitor classified cybersecurity measures to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.

• Assist the ISSO team assess and mitigate classified system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.

• Assist the ISSO team validate system security requirements and reviews technical system security documentation.

• Assist the ISSO team assess and mitigate classified system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.

• Assist the ISSO team validate system security requirements and reviews technical system security documentation.

• Assist the ISSO team with reviewing implementation of security procedures and review system security verification requirements. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Pursuing degree in a technology related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Science, Information Technology), or engineering degree with minor (or focus) in Computer Science
• Working knowledge of computers and/or cybersecurity
• Must possess good problem solving skills
• Highly Motivated; able to perform team tasks with low direct supervision while utilizing virtual collaboration tools to interact with team
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

• Desire to work in a team environment
• Experience with Windows Operating Systems
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Unix
• Experience with Splunk, Tenable, and Trellix products
• Experience with hardware and/or software systems
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance
• DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technician Level I or II certification (i.e. Sec+, Net+, or SSCP)
