Description
The candidate will support the Business Development team responsible for the Missile Defense and Space Surveillance Radars portfolio, focusing on Lockheed Martin’s Scalable, Supportable, Software-Defined S-Band Radar (S4R) product family. The role involves identifying, qualifying, and shaping opportunities to capture new business with the U.S. Government, including Golden Dome for America, and with international customers. This U.S.
-based position requires domestic and international travel.
- Build and maintain trusting, productive relationships with customers, influencers, and key opinion leaders.
- Engage proactively and responsively with domestic and international customers and stakeholders.
- Perform market research and develop business cases to identify, qualify, and shape opportunities.
- Develop and implement capture strategies, analyze competition, and create win strategies.
- Lead teams in responding to Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, and other solicitations.
- Contribute to product line and market segment strategic planning cycles.
- Manage in-year and plan future-year new business funding.
- Collaborate and coordinate with functional, LOB, and BA stakeholders.
- Prepare and present opportunity reviews to stakeholders.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned by leadership.
- More than 5 years in a customer-facing Business Development role.
- Experience leading $0.5B+ campaigns as Business Development Lead or Capture Manager.
- Established relationships with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.
- Demonstrated ability to drive capture “Art of the Deal.”
- Diplomatic, persuasive, and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- U.S. Government, FMS, and DCS acquisition experience, including releasability, export licensing, and advocacy.
- Recent responsibility as lead for major proposal deliveries within the past 18 months.
- Multi-disciplinary background in Program Management, Engineering, or Operations with radar systems.
- Self-motivated initiative to work independently and with teams to drive tasks to closure.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous deliverables in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Prior responsibility for new business funds exceeding $1M per year.
- Master’s degree in a related discipline.
This position requires a government security clearance; the candidate must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.

Ability to work remotely:

Work schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
Annual base salary range (state-dependent): $151,200 – $266,570.
