Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related work experience or a Master’s degree and 6 years of related experience, or 4 years with a PhD.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Must have a DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE).
• Strong systems administrator experience, specifically in Windows/Linux Operating Systems environments.
• Experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with Dev Sec Ops  practices, approaches, requirements, and iteration plans for a large‑scale classified government system.
• Proficiency with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Git Lab/Git Hub, Jenkins, and Nexus repositories.
• Proficiency with configuring and maintaining Dev Sec Ops  Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline tools including best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools, i.e., Jenkins.
• Proficiency with deploying and maintaining applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Must be able to support an in‑person, closed‑area work environment 100% of the time.

Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.

As a Dev Sec Ops  Engineer, you may:

• Develop Infrastructure as Code scripts in Terraform and Helm to provision cloud resources.
• Deploy and maintain applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Configure and maintain developer instances and development environment.
• Configure and maintain Dev Sec Ops  Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline tools.
• Work closely with the Software team to ensure that various cloud infrastructure platforms are developed and operational.
• Work with a team of Dev Sec Ops  Engineers to develop and maintain a software cloud virtualization stack with Microsoft Azure.
• Attend daily agile scrum meetings.
• Work independently on software stories that include application development, vendor calls with Microsoft, and maintaining a PaaS (Platform as a Service).
• Report to the GNI execution lead on the status of JIRA stories, any outstanding blockers, concerns, or dependencies.
• Report metrics to the GNI SW team, GWS and GNI leadership.
• Work in both classified and unclassified software environments.
• Be willing to travel to customer sites weekly and to other classified labs to perform work.

This position requires an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance and is not offered as a teleworking or hybrid position.
