Aegis Aerospace is seeking a Mid Linux/Elastic Systems Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES (Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions) contract. This position will directly support the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA) organization.

• Develop and design new IT solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability of the Ground System Elements and Mission Suites within MDSEA
• Execute studies, analysis, detailed requirements definition, system engineering, preliminary and detailed ground system architecture designs, and system development of Enterprise Services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers to include all supporting facilities
• Maintain alignment to support Team Leads: infrastructure, networks, integration, logistics plans, cybersecurity and physical security protection plans, and cost and schedule estimates for the development, fielding, tests, and operations of planned space capabilities
• Be responsible for project initiation, requirements management, task management and development of artifacts for the Technical Baseline
• Document designs and develop implementation and test plans to be installed by sustainment personnel
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, Dev Sec Ops , infrastructure, and application teams to ensure integration and compliance
• Work with Project Managers to produce artifacts to support preliminary, detailed, and critical design reviews with stakeholders

• 6 or more years of general full‑time work experience
• 4 or more years of direct experience in programming/scripting, troubleshooting code, SIEM technologies, and/or bulk data analysis
• 1 or more year of experience in a management or leadership role
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification with Continuing Education (e.g., CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
• Active DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Infrastructure Support certification with Continuing Education (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND); any expenses for certification are employee’s responsibility
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to obtain an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

• Ability to interpret and incorporate data from multiple tool sources
• Experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) (highly desired)
• Familiarity with Kibana, Logstash, and Elasticsearch
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Kafka, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, GIT, RHEL, Suricata, Zeek, Neo4J, Postgre
  
  SQL, AWS Cloud, and Nifi
• Basic understanding of Python, Bash, and markup languages (YAML)
• Ability to identify basic coding flaws at a high level
• Experience with SOC/DCO tools/applications (e.g., Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Network Security Manager, Bluecoat, Barracuda)
• Mentor and train personnel in an evolving, high‑paced environment
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance

$115,000 – $125,000 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, location, and applicable certifications.
