TS Cleared -Mid Level SOC Analyst - ONSITE Information Technology Huntsville, AL

Overview

Visual Soft, Inc is seeking a Cleared Mid Level SOC Analyst (Active TS is a MUST) to work onsite at a Federal Intel Agency in Huntsville, AL. The analyst will support second‑tier escalation and detailed discovery of intrusion detection events across the agency’s network.

• Monitor and respond aggressively to alerts triggered in the SEIM tool or from customer requests.
• Investigate incidents using a variety of tools and take immediate action or recommend a course of action to safeguard the agency’s systems.
• Document all incidents and create a clear narrative that supports conclusions.
• Ensure all incidents are correct in review and construct email notification messaging.

• 5 years of SOC Analyst experience supporting intrusion detection and event review for wide area network, host, and IPS/IDS/HIPs traffic.
• Experience analyzing server web logs, raw data logs, and OS log events.
• Proficiency with Splunk ES, Splunk SIEM, Fire Eye, Wireshark, Snort, PCAP analysis, and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Willingness to work other cybersecurity technology tools as needed.

Bachelor’s degree required.
Clearance requirement: Active TOP SECRET with ability to qualify and obtain SCI.
