Database Administrator – Mid Level – Active TS required

Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates (US Citizens with active TOP SECRET clearance) for a federal agency position in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities &

Required Qualifications
  • Evaluate and recommend available database management system products to support validated user requirements.
  • Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications.
  • Maintain Oracle systems on a Linux operating system; MS SQL database administration experience is desired.
  • Shall be responsible for backup and recovery operations for servers.
  • Perform quality control of ingest and transform processes and products produced.
  • Perform rudimentary Linux systems administrative functions.
  • Responsible for entity relational diagrams and documentation of Oracle configuration.
  • Over all 5-6 years of information technology experience.
  • 4+ years of Oracle database administration experience.
  • 3+ years of Linux administration experience.
  • Multiple Information Technology certifications.
  • Knowledge of Government-wide system design, information technology equipment and services.
  • BS degree at minimum; experience can be substituted in some cases.
Government Requirement
  • Must have an active TOP SECRET clearance and undergo background investigation and a drug test.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
