Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates (US Citizens with active ACTIVE TOP SECRET clearance - a requirement on its sub contract with work share on a Project with a Major Prime) for the following position for a federal agency.

• Evaluate and recommend available database management system products to support validated user requirements
• Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific users/applications
• Maintain Oracle systems on a Linux operating system and (also desired MS SQL databases admin experience) on a day-to-day basis
• Responsible for backup and recovery operations for servers
• Perform quality control of ingest and transform processes and products produced
• Perform rudimentary Linux system administrative functions
• Responsible for entity relational diagrams and documentation of Oracle configuration
• Over all 5-6 years of information technology experience
• 4+ years of Oracle database administration experience
• 3+ years of Linux administration experience
• Multiple Information Technology certifications
• Knowledge of Government-wide system design, information technology equipment and services
• BS degree at minimum, experience can be substituted in some cases in lieu of BS degree at the discretion of the government

• Clearance: must have an Active TOP SECRET clearance and undergo background investigation and a drug test

Our standard benefits include 3 weeks of Paid time off (PTO that includes sick leave). Any unused PTO will be issued as a check at the end of an employee's anniversary with us. We also provide 2 floating and 8 public holidays. Floating and holidays expire at the end of every year of service of an employee. In addition, the company will cover 50% of health and dental insurance for all full‑time employees.

Dependent coverage can be added at extra cost. Employee's health and dental coverage becomes effective after 30 days or the first of the month after an employee completes initial 30 working days. Health and dental coverage is 50% paid by the company. We provide STD, LTD and a one‑time salary‑equivalent of life insurance at no cost to all full‑time employees.

All full‑time employees or W‑2 employees with no benefits will be eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) program after 90 days of employment with a company match of 4% (immediate vesting). In addition, all W‑2 employees are eligible to be part of the company’s profit sharing, with no employee contributions required.
