Chronos Operations, LLC is seeking a Mission Assurance Analyst II to support mission risk assessments and terrain mapping activities to identify and mitigate threats to critical operations and assets. This mid-level role contributes to the execution of the Mission Assurance Construct (MAC), including MRT-C mapping, threat correlation, and POA&M development.
Responsibilities- Execute Cyberspace Terrain Mapping:
Conduct tactical cyber terrain mapping, network tracing, and baseline data capture in strict alignment with MADSS standards under the oversight of senior analysts. - Support Mission Decomposition:
Perform systematic mission decomposition and dependency mapping across diverse Army Materiel Command (AMC) operational environments to identify critical operational pathways. - Analyze OT & FRCS Environments:
Assist in analyzing Operational Technology (OT), Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS), and Manufacturing Systems to identify technical vulnerabilities and baseline security postures. - Conduct Field Environment Discovery:
Participate in on-site facility walkthroughs, utilizing approved technical discovery and assessment tools to document physical and logical network configurations. - Maintain MADSS Records:
Populate, update, and maintain the Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS) database, ensuring accurate metadata tagging and compliance with HQDA EXORD 133-24 and JFHQ-DODIN EXORD 8600-26. - Identify Critical Assets:
Assist in the initial identification, categorization, and documentation of Task Critical Assets (TCAs) and Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI). - Draft Risk Mitigation Plans:
Prepare draft Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) documentation and contribute to the formulation of local risk mitigation recommendations. - Develop Technical Visualizations:
Utilize Microsoft Visio, Excel, and specialized technical mapping software to draft clean, accurate diagrams illustrating network segment coverage and asset dependencies. - Contribute to Knowledge Management:
Support the development, formatting, and implementation of the team’s Knowledge Management Plan and central documentation repositories. - Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Information Assurance, Intelligence Studies, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of proven experience in mission assurance, cybersecurity, or risk management roles.
- Must have experience with analytical and cyber security skills, and a deep understanding of mission assurance (MA) methodologies, cyber defense, and U.S. military operations
- Must have experience with cybersecurity standards specific to OT/ICS (e.g., NIST 800-82, IEC 62443)
