The OpportunityAs part of EY’s dynamic indirect tax team, you will combine technical expertise with industry insight to identify risks and planning opportunities for our clients. You’ll help streamline processes, improve day‑to‑day reporting, reduce attribution errors and costs, and ensure indirect taxes are handled accurately.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Engage in client consultations and challenge the unclaimed property and escheat approach for optimal effectiveness.
- Develop strong client relationships and collaborate with internal resources.
- Coach junior team members and drive knowledge transfer.
- Implement extensive knowledge of unclaimed property concepts and requirements.
- Contribute to a highly collaborative culture focused on sharing information and supporting colleagues.
- Provide timely and responsive services and work products that enhance client satisfaction.
- Stay informed of current technical developments and effectively apply knowledge to client situations.
- Analyze information thoroughly and accurately; prepare quality, practical approaches to clients’ unclaimed property situations and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
- Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex unclaimed property concepts.
- Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related work experience.
- CPA certification, membership of the U.S. Bar, or a professional designation from the IPT.
- Technical expertise and experience related to compliance, audit defense, and consulting for abandoned and unclaimed property services.
- Performance and process advisory experience related to unclaimed property compliance.
- Broad exposure to state and local taxation.
- Excellent managerial, organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed and ability to work effectively in a balanced hybrid environment.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant unclaimed property consulting experience within a professional services environment.

Focus on providing insight and implementing operational efficiencies while demonstrating a solid understanding of client businesses.
What We Offer You- A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary ranging from $135,000 to $308,500 in the U.S., plus additional ranges for specific metro areas.
