Test Lab Team Lead
Tri Vector Services, Inc. is a Service‑Disabled, Veteran‑Owned, SBA‑certified Small Business located in Huntsville, Alabama. We provide high‑quality aerospace engineering solutions to complex problems.
DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified candidate to fill our Test Lab Team Lead position.
Duties- Plan, coordinate, and provide technical direction for the team on a daily basis.
- Ensure on‑time and on‑budget completion of tasks.
- Interface with NASA and other contractor management to understand and define tasks and operations.
- Confirm that only qualified personnel (and, where required, appropriately certified individuals) perform work that requires certification.
- Train and prepare the team for current and future tasks.
- Coordinate with NASA customers to assess skill needs and maintain employee certifications to satisfy those needs.
- Validate compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) and Quality guidelines.
- Oversee operations and provide leadership to the technical workforce, ensuring tasks meet government requirements, workforce safety, and protection of government property.
- Recommend process improvements necessary to accomplish tasks.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or at least two years of directly related experience.
- Background in machine tool operations, lifting operations, mechanical fabrication/assembly disciplines, and knowledge of welding operations.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workmanship.
- Dependability and willingness to work outside normal schedule.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork.
- Experience reading and understanding specifications and detailed work instructions.
- Ability to pass a physical examination for any required safety‑related certifications.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Experience with vacuum chamber and Thermatron.
- Background in instrumentation applications, data collection, electrical assembly, soldering, crimping, and fabricating various types of cables/connectors.
