Materials Technician

Receive materials at loading dock utilizing a forklift and other dock equipment. Enter receipt data into material control system. Deliver packages to the end user. Assist in packaging finish goods and samples for shipment to customers. Assist with the staging and warehousing activities.

Employees must be able to lift or handle objects greater than 25 pounds to perform certain duties essential to the job function. Performance of tasks essential to the job function may require the employee to work directly with, handle, or otherwise come into contact with chemicals or pharmaceutical agents. Employees must be able to gain access to elevated work surfaces via vertical ladders or stairs to perform tasks essential to the job function.

Employees must be able to accurately detect color and have 20/20 vision (with/without corrective lenses). Employees may be required to enroll in a medical surveillance program based on the potential exposure to certain health hazards encountered as a result of their job function.

Education:

Requires a minimum of a High School diploma. Equivalent experience may be accepted. A minimum of 4 years industry experience is required. A minimum of 2 years warehouse or manufacturing experience is required. A minimum of 1 year experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry is desired. Working knowledge of FDA and GMP requirements is preferred. Strong attention to detail regarding documentation is required.

Good communication skills both oral and written are required. Must be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures. Excellent organizational skills are required.
