Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer
Three (3) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable experience and college/vocational/military/technical school.
Education
:
High School Diploma or GED. For Mechanical specialty, must have successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and one (1) year of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
Required Qualifications
:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Experience
:
Industrial Maintenance/Mechanical A.A.S, or Aerospace Technology A.A.S preferred. Welding experience a plus.
Duties
:
Technician will be required to support mechanical operations in and around Test Stand/fixtures;
Operate and maintain equipment for test support; LPART (Liquid-Propellant-Action-Response-Team) certified or ability to obtain once hired, and hold or obtain Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement. Comprehend various test setups and lead the mechanical responsibilities while following applicable standard operating procedures. Operate forklifts from Class VII and below, mobile and overhead crane, and other similar equipment.
