This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance.

This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Provides tactical and technical support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing by performing activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro/mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.

Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers you will be responsible for the assembly and development of Rocket Engines in Final Assembly.

This position will

* * shift flexibility to align with changes in business need. Shift schedules are outlined below:
A

Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00AM-3:30PM
B

Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:00PM-1:30AM
C

Shift: Friday-Sunday 5:00AM-5:30PM

** Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*** Thrust Chamber assemblies, and alloy application
* Root cause and diagnostic component disassembly, repair, and work
* Nitrogen and Helium leak testing
* Preparation for environmental testing
* Hydro proof structural testing of components
* Creating and maintaining strict cleanliness requirements (liquid/gaseous oxygen compatibility)
* Support the design, procurement, installation, and integration of custom manufacturing and test equipment
* Help maintain inventory of tooling and equipment
* Safely work with hazardous systems, chemicals, and high-pressure operations
* Define how to prepare hardware for test, qualification, and flight
* Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build schedule
* Support the development of manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the following manufacturing processes: receiving inspection, fabrication, assembly, test, and integration, and refurbishment
* Identify non-conformances and escapes, support and deploy corrective actions

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** 1 to 3 years of manufacturing or engine assembly experience
* Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
* Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings
* Extensive experience reading and understanding specifications and detailed work instructions
* Proven experience and successful track record in developing new processes
