The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3
Harris is seeking a Program Scheduler to join their team. Duties include managing the development and maintenance of complex program schedules including resource loading and Earned Value Analysis. This position also supports the programs in developing plans and integrating inputs from all programs. Qualified candidates will interface with all elements of the program team to develop and support regular maintenance of the program IMS.
This individual will perform schedule analysis in support of assigned programs and projects. Ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. Track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilize Critical path, Driving Path, Variance metrics, milestone charts, Earned Value Management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines per DECM metrics.
- Develop integrated master schedules (IMS) using SOW, and WBS.
- Manage complex projects or processes with general oversight.
- Create and track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, and identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts.
- Analysis and validation of program schedules through baseline maintenance including support Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Analysis, and Schedule Metric Analysis such as BEI, CEI, CPLI, SPI, etc.
- Implement and monitor Earned Value Management Systems on programs.
- Communicate within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures and have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary.
- Ensure projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines.
- Explain, interpret, and gain cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices related to program scheduling.
- Attend and lead scheduling status reviews and conduct briefings with senior leaders which requires ability to communicate matters of importance to the function or business area.
- Contribute to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
- Participate in schedule training, engineering, and program excellence organization.
- Up to 20% business travel to other L3
Harris sites.
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior scheduling experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years prior scheduling experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related scheduling experience.
