Materials Operations Supervisor
This role will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating material movement within warehouse and production including receiving, issuing, and maintaining material information both systematically in the ERP system and physically in the warehouse and production operation to ensure inventory accuracy. As a critical member of the PDW leadership team, you will play an active role in the day‑day manufacturing activities and materials initiatives that result in high‑quality products.
The ideal candidate will have experience including leading picking, kitting, work order material issuance, repacking, delivery processes, and micro scheduling. A solid understanding of ERP material movement, inventory accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment.
What You’ll Do- Formation and execution of PDW’s production inventory supply program including receiving, kitting, kanban, cycle count, and physical inventory process.
- Coordination of cycle counting maintaining accurate inventory and transactions ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of physical and systemic inventory with root cause analysis of discrepancies and permanent corrective actions.
- Responsible for defining and implementing stringent inventory controls governing incoming and outgoing supply.
- Ownership of warehouse storage/layout, delivery methods, transportation, and material storage/layout in subassembly and final assembly.
- Responsible for material flow within overall production operation.
- Oversee, support, and coordinate kitting materials for work orders to support production in a multi‑assembly operation.
- Oversee, support, and coordinate repacking incoming materials and material storage organization.
- Coordination of receive and put‑away processes into ERP system (Net Suite).
- Collaboration with external and internal vendors to resolve paperwork discrepancies to support work order transactions and receiving process with an advanced understanding of ERP with an emphasis on material movement and consumption.
- Maintain ownership of cycle counting to ensure inventory and transaction accuracy, applying root cause analysis and critical thinking to investigate and resolve material discrepancies within the ERP system.
- Own all cycle count discrepancies and perform root cause analysis by manually extracting and reviewing data from the ERP system, including detailed investigation of receiving errors, bill of material discrepancies, location and bin inaccuracies, nonconforming material, and inventory adjustment GL impacts.
- Partner with Finance and provide manually gathered data to support inventory adjustment justification.
- Oversee and own the complete material movement workflow, ensuring accuracy and control from receipt to final shipment.
- 1 – 3+ years of experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or materials management.
- Demonstrated analytical experience and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience conducting end‑to‑end cycle count analysis—from receipt to shipment leveraging ERP system data and manually gathered information to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Experience with ERP systems for inventory management, controls, data analytics, and metric reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of BOM management, product configuration, and quality assurance controls.
- Familiarity with ERP systems;
Net Suite WMS experience is highly preferred. - Demonstrated reliability, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Partner closely with Quality Assurance for incoming inspection scheduling, coordination, and participation in the Material Review Board (MRB) and dispositioning of material.
