Overview
Sigma Defense Systems LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support our quality assurance efforts, ensure compliance with established standards, and maintain a clean and efficient work environment through application of the 5S methodology.
Base pay range$40,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
Sigma Defense is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our quality assurance efforts, ensuring compliance with established standards, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment through application of the 5S methodology.
Requirements- 2+ years of experience in a quality technician or similar role is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and documentation processes efficiently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable working with computers and digital file systems
- Familiarity with 5S principles and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions with precision
- Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed
- Experience with electronics or RF systems is preferred
- Experience with electronic components or RF (radio frequency) systems is preferred
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards or working in a certified environment is preferred
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher. Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Job Duties (not all-inclusive)
- Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain detailed records using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming products
- Maintain compliance with 5S workplace organization standards
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to uphold product quality throughout all stages of manufacturing
- Monitor and maintain quality-related equipment and calibration schedules
- Participate in internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support training efforts related to quality processes and procedures
