Strata-G is hiring an Electrical Quality Inspector in Huntsville, AL.
This position is responsible for providing a variety of inspections, tests, and examinations of purchased and manufactured electrical, electronic, and electromechanical products and services to determine their conformity to established quality and customer requirements.
Position Requirements :
• Performs and documents product inspections, tests, and evaluations.
• Performs in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturing orders, drawings, specifications, and contractual/customer requirements.
• Interfaces with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and customer/vendors to coordinate and resolve quality-related problems.
• Generates first article paperwork and ensures required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Enforces quality control practices and provides oversight of the Quality Management System in assigned areas.
• Enters inspection data into electronic systems/databases.
• Stands, walks, climbs, and sits. Must have full use of hands to use computer keyboards and mouse. May occasionally be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications:
- The ability to read, interpret and follow drawings, work statements, specifications and other technical data.
- Knowledge and ability to use the tools required to perform the function of inspection, such as; calipers, multi-meters, rulers, insulation testers, etc.
- Proficient with mathematics.
- Capable of learning computer programs used on the job such as MS Office and data entry systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 plus years of inspection experience required.
- Associates degree (A.A.) in engineering, science, or mathematics or equivalent is desired.
- DITMCO or like electrical tester experience desirable.
