This position supports the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program and related hypersonic programs as a Senior Staff level Quality Engineer. In this role, you will perform as a quality engineer within the rapidly growing Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) business. You will bring expereince to the team to provide proactive actions and results. You will analyze processes and drive actions that reduce variation and improve consistency across engineering, procurement, production, and quality processes.

You will establish the core quality assurance requirements and mission assurance plans on these missions or coach others on how to do so. You will support the Program Quailty Senior Manager with proposal development.

You will utilize Quality Engineering methods and leadership to evaluate and initiate actions to identify and control sources of variation detrimental to quality, cost, and schedule targets.

• Lead root cause analysis and drive effective corrective action to improve processes
• Analyze and generate quality metrics that might detect actionable trends in our processes
• Develop core program mission assurance requirements and guide engineering counterparts to meet those requirements
• Shape and lead process improvement strategy to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with Engineering counterparts to review, edit, and approve drawings
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Quality to proactively shape our supply chain requirements and improve supplier performance
• Develop proposal estimates for Quality Support
• Travel up to 25% may be required

Manages the implementation and execution of program quality requirements. Responsible for all aspects of Quality across the programs life-cycle including proposals, contract review, start-up, development, transition to production, production and support. Requires an understanding of quality tasks across quality functions including hardware, software, systems and suppliers/subcontractors, and customers. Proficient in company policies. Partners with program teams as the Quality Lead for design, development, production and mobilization phases of program execution.

Performs contract reviews and flows down contract quality requirements to quality team, including suppliers. Establishes quality budgets and cost commitments. Serves on the program area Risk and Opportunity Review Boards; nominates risks and opportunities. Ensures…
