Floor Manager
Position Summary:
As a member of the leadership team, the Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities, schedules and assignments of the retail staff and activities to support the General Manager in achieving a profitable store location.
- Oversee staff and fulfills staffing needs for regular store hours, as well as special events or high‑traffic times.
- Build a collaborative relationship with General Manager and fellow managers to consistently exemplify outstanding company culture.
- Maintain and motivate a positive sales team through communication, incentives, evaluations, training and development.
- Support recruiting efforts through attending in‑store recruiting events.
- Support Office Manager in all cash handling procedures.
- Actively listen to customer needs and resolve issues, ensuring positive and long‑term customer relationships.
- Partner with the Warehouse team to: ensure policies and procedures for product transfers, support E‑COMM orders and manage loss prevention through inventory controls.
- Support Events Coordinator in executing promotional events in‑store and scheduled space rental of events areas.
- Continuously develop knowledge of category products to ensure company maintains best practices, makes recommendations to improve product mix and supports overall customer satisfaction in Giga Parts business model.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality and service.
- Maintain overall store organization and cleanliness.
- Open and/or close the store as needed.
- Embrace and promote Giga Parts’ mission, vision and values.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, with problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to analyze and adapt to customer needs.
- Strong organizational skills and multi‑tasking, attention to detail.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Pride in ensuring the best customer experience.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Two years of related experience as a supervisor or manager in business or related fields.
- 2 years of sales or customer service experience.
- Consumer electronics or hobbyist experience.
- Prolonged periods of both desk work and walking, lifting and squatting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Full‑time:
Minimum 50 hours a week, must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store
(to include opening/closing and Saturday shifts).
